People vaccinated with Covishield and CoronaVac will receive the same relief in entry quarantine as people vaccinated with EMA-approved vaccines.

The vaccines are on the WHO’s emergency use list. However, the prerequisite is that travelers have a corona certificate that can be checked using a QR code in accordance with the EU’s solution for corona certificates, the Norwegian government writes.

Covishield is the AstraZeneca vaccine produced in India, while Coronavac is the company Sinovac’s vaccine.

The change will take effect on Tuesday, October 5, at noon.

Those who have been fully vaccinated or have undergone COVID-19 in the last six months, and can document it with a corona certificate approved for entry into Norway, are exempt from entry quarantine and do not need to fill in an entry registration form or take a test at the border. This applies regardless of which country you come from.
