The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel that is not strictly necessary to Kainuu and Pirkanmaa in Finland. The areas have been changed from the “green” to the “red” level on the infection map for Europe.

The travel advice for the areas, which are located in the northeast and west of Finland, will apply from on Monday, June 28, and until July 5, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will abolish its council against travel for the EEA, Schengen, and the United Kingdom from July 5.

At the same time, the travel council, according to which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against all travel that is not strictly necessary to countries outside the EEA, Schengen, and the United Kingdom, has been extended until August 10.
