The tightened entry restrictions that were introduced on January 29, 2021, will remain in effect for the time being, initially until May 24.

“Even though we see that infection levels are declining in Norway, the serious infection situation in the world around us means that we still need strict entry restrictions for the time being.

“We are extending them until May 24. The entry restrictions will remain in effect for the time being. They will be lifted in line with the Norwegian government’s reopening plan.

“The Norwegian government is paying close attention to the situation in the world and will always ensure that the entry restrictions are adapted to the current situation. No one wants strict entry restrictions for longer than necessary”, Minister of Justice and Public Security Monica Mæland (H) said.
