On July 13th, Norway handed over medical equipment to help the country in the fight against the Coronavirus.

The equipment consists of face masks, thermometers and goggles according to the government in a press release.

In 2012 Norway also donated a field hospital to the country, which since April has been used in the fight against Covid-19.

-” It is a small symbol of our thankfulness to an allied country that we see as a good friend.”, writes Frank Bakke-Jensen(H), The Minister of Defense, in a press release.

The donation is a result of a military cooperation that started in 2007, when Macedonian medical personnel were sent to Norway to receive training  from the armed forces. After the training, the Macedonian surgical team was sent to Afghanistan to provide medical support.
