Last night a large load of infection control equipment came to Southern and Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority’s (Helse Sør-Øst) central warehouse in Skedsmo. It is now being passed on to municipalities across the country.

Among the loads are a million facemasks, writes NRK.

The equipment arrived by plane to Norway before being transported directly to Skedsmo. It is now being passed on to municipalities where the need is greatest. Oslo and Kristiansand have already received equipment.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg was present when the trailers were dispatched.

“I think this is very good. That has been one of our critical points – do we have enough, and do we get enough contamination equipment?” she said to NRK.

She won’t say anything about where the equipment comes from.
