From Saturday, everyone who arrives in Norway must register digitally. The digital travel register replaces the temporary, paper-based solution.

“The government is concerned about imported infection, and especially about the new mutated virus variants.

“Therefore, we have decided that everyone who crosses the border, including Norwegian citizens, as a general rule, must register,” Minister of Justice and Emergency Management Monica Mæland (H) noted in a press release.

The trip must be registered when there are less than 72 hours before the time of entry – and before arriving in Norway.

From Saturday, there is also a requirement for testing on arrival in Norway for travelers from “red” countries

The test must be performed as soon as possible and no later than one day after arrival.
