Norway now has a higher infection rate than Sweden

Norway has now surpassed Sweden when it comes to the rate at which COVID-19 is spreading.

Norway has 23.9 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants, while Sweden has 23.

The development was revealed by an overview of the newspaper VG, based on infection figures from the last 14 days.

In Norway, Bergen, Fredrikstad, and Sarpsborg are particularly hard hit by the coronavirus.

However, in total, Sweden has far more coronavirus cases than Norway.

So far, 86,505 people in Sweden have been infected with the virus, while there are only 12,079 known cases of infection in Norway.
