Norway will provide six additional fighter jets for NATO’s prestige project for enhanced readiness.

Norway has already promised to provide six fighter aircraft for the initiative. Now that number is doubling to twelve, states Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) ahead of NATO’s London summit.

– We think it will be appreciated, she says.

The NATO initiative is called “4 times 30” and is about NATO identifying 30 battalions, 30 air squadrons and 30 naval vessels that can be deployed in 30 days or less.

The Norwegian contribution will now cover one of these 30 air squadrons.
