Norway registered 173 new corona cases in the last 24 hours – 106 fewer than a week ago

In the last 24 hours, 173 coronavirus cases have been registered in Norway. That is 45 fewer than the day before and 106 fewer than the same day last week.

A total of 62,966 corona cases have been registered in the country since March of 2020, according to preliminary figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

In the last seven days, a total of 1,884 new cases of infection have been registered in Norway. A total of 3.3 million corona tests have so far been carried out.

On Sunday, 90 corona patients were hospitalized – three more than the day before.

A total of 564 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March, preliminary figures show. 

It is not always possible to establish whether patients died of or with COVID-19.
