Norway registered 283 new corona cases in the last 24 hours, 142 fewer than a week ago

In the last 24 hours, 283 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 43 fewer than the day before and 142 fewer than the same day last week.

As of midnight on Saturday night, a total of 68,107 corona-infected people were registered in Norway since the start of the pandemic, according to preliminary figures from the national reporting system for infectious diseases (MSIS).

In the last seven days, a total of 1,871 new cases of infection have been registered in Norway. 

Furthermore, 3.6 million corona tests have been performed in the country so far.

A total of 278,379 people have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 93,251 people have received the second dose. On Friday, 76 corona patients were hospitalized.

A total of 607 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March, preliminary figures show. It is not always possible to establish whether patients died of or with COVID-19.
