Norway registered 330 new corona cases in the last 24 hours, 13 more than a week ago

In the last 24 hours, 330 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 227 fewer than the day before, but 13 more than the same day last week.

A total of 49,897 corona-infected people have been registered in Norway since the beginning of the pandemic, according to preliminary figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

In the last seven days, a total of 3,649 new infection cases have been registered in Norway. 

A total of 2.7 million people have so far been tested for coronavirus in the country.

126 people hospitalized

Furthermore, 126 corona patients were hospitalized on Friday, 14 fewer than the day before.

A total of 436 corona-infected people died in Norway since March, preliminary figures show. 

It is not always possible to establish whether the patients died of or with COVID-19.

A total of 64% of those who died reached the age of 80. In the age group under 50, nine deaths have been reported.
