Norway registered 579 new corona infection cases in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 579 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway – 96 more than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 438 corona infection cases has been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 398, so the trend is rising.

As of midnight on Tuesday night, 5.2 million corona tests had been performed in Norway since February last year. A total of 117,022 people tested positive.

To date, 1,485,659 people have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 472,376 people have received the second dose.

On Monday, 117 corona patients were hospitalized – seven more than the day before.

A total of 767 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show.
