At midnight, a total of 14,148 corona-infected people were registered in Norway, according to preliminary figures.

That is an increase of 122 reported cases in the last 24 hours.

The increase amounted to 234 reported cases in the last two days, according to figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

On average, it takes one to two days from the time a test result is available until it is registered in the MSIS.

The figures can thus give a misleading picture of the infection situation in recent days.

A total of 25 people are receiving hospital treatment for COVID-19.

As of Thursday, a total of 271 deaths were registered in relation to the disease.
