According to preliminary figures, a total of 13,626 coronavirus infection cases have been registered in Norway as of midnight on Sunday night.

That is an increase of 82 cases in the last 24 hours.

The increase is well below the level of the day before, when 139 new cases were registered.

In the last seven days, the total number of cases increased by 768, according to figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

A million tests

A total of just over one million (1,011,021) tests for coronavirus have now been carried out in Norway, according to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI).

Some people have been tested several times.

A total of 19 people were hospitalized for COVID-19 on Friday.

The FHI has registered 270 corona-related deaths in Norway since March.

Most deaths occurred in the 80-89 years age group.

The FHI emphasized that it is not always possible to determine whether the people infected with the coronavirus have died of or with COVID-19.
