Norway registers highest number of hospitalized corona patients since end of May

On Wednesday, Norway registered a number of hospitalized coronavirus patients that hasn’t been seen since May 28. On Wednesday, 36 people were admitted to Norwegian hospitals.

That is seven more than on Tuesday, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview.

Two of the corona patients are receiving respiratory treatment – one less than the day before.

According to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview, Oslo University Hospital has the most corona-infected patients, with eight corona patients. 

Furthermore, Akershus University Hospital (Ahus) has five corona patients.

As of midnight on Wednesday night, a total of 16,771 corona-infected people were registered in Norway since the pandemic began. 

That is an increase of 169 reported cases in the last 24 hours.

On Wednesday, a new corona death was reported in Drammen. 

Up to Tuesday, the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) registered 278 corona-related deaths since March.
