Norway will get 258,000 extra doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) told the newspaper VG.

The doses are connected to EU cooperation due to some countries in Eastern Europe, such as Bulgaria and Romania, not needing the doses, the newspaper writes.

The doses come in addition to the 100,000 doses that Norway received from Lithuania last week. Thus, in a short time, the country will receive almost 360,000 more doses than previously thought.

It is expected that the extra doses will arrive in Norway in weeks 32 and 33.
