Crown Prince Haakon is recharging for his 47th birthday with a summer idyll on Dvergsøya outside Kristiansand.
With sun on their faces and blue sea on the horizon, the Crown Prince’s family invited for the sixth time, this year their official photograph on Dvergsøya, where they have rented Vogt’s villa from Kristiansand municipality since 2009.
Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Prince Sverre Magnus, and the two dogs Milly Kakao and Muffins Kråkebolle were all in place.
On Monday, Crown Prince Haakon turns 47 years old.
He himself celebrates the day privately, and the royal family will not share any details about the plans.
But what is clear is that there will be a Norwegian holiday for the whole royal family this summer.
While the royal couple will be at their country house on Mågerø for large parts of the holiday, the Crown Prince’s family is on holiday in Sørlandet.
The royal family will also spend time on board the royal ship Norway.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit has already spent a lot of time in Sørlandet in recent weeks to be with her mother Marit Tjessem after Tjessem’s partner, Magnar Alfred Fjeldvær passed away on 15 June. Fjeldvær was 83 years old.
– We will miss Magnar, who meant a lot to the family, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit told Dagbladet after the death.
The children are growing up
For the Crown Prince and Crown Princess’ children, important events await this autumn.
Prince Sverre Magnus (14) will be confirmated, while Princess Ingrid Alexandra (16) will start at Elvebakken upper secondary school.
And that the two children are growing up is also clear in the summer photos. There you can now count a total of five piercings in Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s ears.
