The Conservatives (H) believe that unvaccinated health personnel poses a great risk to patients and that vaccination must be mandatory for such personnel.

“We believe that the state should be careful with what it requires of its citizens, and voluntary vaccination should still be a principle, but in this case, it is a matter of patient safety – and it must come first,” Conservative MP Tone Wilhelmsen Trøen told the newspaper VG.

The Conservatives are now proposing to make vaccines in the vaccination program, including corona vaccines, mandatory for health professionals.

The party believes the requirement should apply to everyone who works in the health and care service, not just those who have close patient contact with, for example, the elderly.
