Norway’s FHI: 13 of the 61 infected on aircraft in the Netherlands have been diagnosed with the omicron variant

Infection control director Frode Forfang at the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) says that the new corona variant omicron has been detected in 13 people on planes from South Africa that landed in the Netherlands on Friday.

The newspaper VG reported the news on Sunday morning. Of the 600 passengers on the planes, 61 have tested positive for coronavirus.
