Entry restrictions and entry measures should be gradually removed as Norway transitions back into normal everyday life with increased preparedness, the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) recommends.

The FHI announced its position in its recommendation to the government at 10 o’clock on Friday, two and a half hours before the government’s press conference on the corona situation.

The FHI wants to remove entry restrictions in four phases. The first phase can be implemented quickly, while the next phase can be assessed after three to four weeks.

In what the government is calling “normal everyday life with increased preparedness,” most national corona measures would be repealed, and the population would not be significantly affected by the pandemic in everyday life.
