The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI) states that the goal of administering 700,000 vaccine doses in the last two weeks of 2021 was not reached.

“Just under 300,000 doses were administered in weeks 51 and 52,” Geir Bukholm at the FHI told the newspaper VG.

Bukholm says it is important that people show up at the vaccine centers so that Norway can continue its vaccination efforts.

The Norwegian government’s goal is for everyone over 45 to be offered a booster dose before mid-January.
