The National Institute of Public Health (FHI) will meet on Saturday to assess whether to make changes in the vaccination program, director Camilla Stoltenberg stated at a press conference on Saturday morning.

There will be a meeting at the FHI to look at whether it is worth considering different regional distribution. There will be a conclusion today, she said.

She said that the FHI has assessed whether it is appropriate to vaccinate everyone who has been in immediate contact with an infected person.

“It could have been effective if the outbreak was clearly delimited and could be stopped within a small geographical boundary.

“It is our assessment that it is not adequate. There are clear indications that this outbreak has spread to several places,” Stoltenberg said.
