Norway’s Health Minister Høie: We have no plans for separate rules for the unvaccinated

There may be separate corona councils for unvaccinated adults when society is fully opened up, but there will be no separate rules for the group, according to the Norwegian Minister of Health Bent Høie.

“We do not plan to have separate rules for the unvaccinated in Norway. Fortunately, there is very good support for the vaccination program in this country, and we are well on our way to a high vaccination coverage in the population. The advice may eventually be different for unvaccinated adults. They are still unprotected against a virus that can cause them serious illness,” Høie told NTB.

Sweden plans to reopen society completely on September 29. On Thursday, the country’s state epidemiologist, Anders Tegnell, said that there is a need for separate recommendations for the unvaccinated.

Høie says that it is important to take precautions.

“Regardless of whether you have been vaccinated or not, it would be wise to stay home if you’re sick and stick to good hygiene. We are heading into flu season.”
