An expert group will map the causes of vaccine skepticism and propose measures to get more people with an immigrant background to take the corona vaccine.
“It is important that we gain more knowledge about the reasons why some immigrant groups are overrepresented when it comes to infection and hospitalizations.
“In addition, people with an immigrant background are more exposed to the long-term consequences of the pandemic. Therefore, we must look at further measures to improve the situation for those concerned,” Minister of Integration Guri Melby (V) said.
Throughout the pandemic, people with an immigrant background living in Norway have been overrepresented among those infected with coronavirus and corona-related hospitalizations.
The group will submit its report in June.
