The Labor Party (AP) wants to make Northern Norway a leader in the space industry.

The plans emerged in a new growth proposal for the north that was presented by the AP on Thursday.

Before the election campaign, the party will present its growth plans for all regions in Norway.

In the new Northern Norway plan, the AP highlights the Andøy-Narvik-Tromsø-Svalbard axis in the space industry.

According to the plan, the party will stand for a national center for earth observation in Tromsø and a national innovation center for space-based activities on Andøya.

The party also promises to ensure that Andøya Spaceport is realized quickly.
