The Labor Party’s (AP) parliamentary group has decided to support the Progress Party’s (FRP) proposal for mandatory testing for COVID-19 when entering Norway.

“The government has done too little to limit imported infection. Therefore, the Labor Party chooses to support the proposal for a plan for the introduction of mandatory testing for COVID-19 when entering Norway,” Ingvild Kjerkol, health policy spokesperson in the Labor Party, said.

“We hope the Center Party (SP) can join us and secure a majority here,” she added.

The FRP and the Labor Party will have a majority for the proposal in the Norwegian parliament (Storting) if they get the support of the SP.
