“This year, it has been a very different holiday,” Princess Märtha Louise wrote on the first anniversary of Ari Behn’s death.

Late on the first day of Christmas, the princess posted a message on Instagram.

“Today we have celebrated his life, we have cried over losing him, and over how much we miss him,” she wrote.

She also sent her thoughts to all those who are struggling at Christmas.

“Know that you are loved. Know that you are needed. Know that you deserve the help you can get. Please ask for help. Please tell us how you feel,” Princess Märtha Louise wrote.

Suicide

Author and artist Ari Behn took his own life on December 25 last year.

He was previously married to Princess Märtha Louise, and they have daughters – Leah Isadora, Emma Tallulah, and Maud Angelica.

In a video greeting from the Palace on Sunday before Christmas, King Harald said the following:

“Now we are approaching the Christmas holiday, which for many will be a little different this year. I hope that we take extra good care of each other and show the consideration and care that we all need.”
