Norwegian air traffic: 5.1 million passengers in June

There were 5.1 million passengers at Norwegian airports in June, a sharp increase from the corona years 2021 and 2020, but down 9% from May 2019.

Overall, there were 3.3 million more passengers on board upon departure and arrival at Norwegian airports in June 2022, compared to June 2021, according to Statistics Norway (SSB).

Compared to June 2020, the number of passengers increased by 328%. The number of passengers was 9% lower compared to June 2019.

The increase in passengers was most significant for international flights. The number of passengers on flights to and from abroad amounted to 2 million in June this year. At the same time, there were 3 million passengers on domestic flights.
