The United Kingdom and the United States encouraged their citizens to leave Russia. Norway has not issued such an announcement.

“American citizens who live or are traveling in Russia should leave the country immediately,” according to travel advice from the American authorities published on Saturday.

In its new travel advice, the United Kingdom also asked its citizens to leave the country unless it is absolutely necessary for them to stay there.

No similar travel advice has come from the Norwegian authorities.

Since February 27, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has “advised against all travel to Russia” is not asking Norwegians staying in the country to evacuate.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs told NTB that the February 27 travel advice still applies.

“Norwegian citizens who want to travel out of Russia should look into alternative exit options,” the Foreign Ministry noted, referring to the fact that Russia has closed its airspace to aircraft from over 30 countries.

On the same day as the travel advice was issued, Norway also closed its airspace to Russian aircraft.

  1. As good as Russian civil defense appears to be, this is probably wise.

Meanwhile, a plane has been said to have left Moscow headed for Washington.
Are Israeli Prime Minister Bennett and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov on it?
