Due to an expected increase in the number of refugees from Ukraine, the UDI has ordered 1,200 emergency places to be set up by Hero, which operates several asylum reception centers.

Hero director Vidar Torheim told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) that the request means that they will create places to receive Ukrainians who come to the country and need a place to stay.

The places that have been ordered will be distributed over different places in the country. Authorities hope that everything will be ready within one to three weeks.
