The Norwegian Environmental Protection Agency (SNO) has reported more than 60 snowmobile drivers for illegal driving so far this year, approximately the same number as at the same time in 2021.

So far this year, the SNO has received 77 tips on illegal snowmobile driving.

The SNO asks people to follow the regulations to avoid disturbing wildlife.

“You get further into untouched natural areas by snowmobile than on foot, which means that there will be fewer places left where wildlife can live undisturbed.

“This is especially important in the spring, during the breeding season, which is the most vulnerable period for many species,” director Morten Kjørstad stated.
