The limited supply of foreign labor is something that Norwegian farmers have struggled with the most during the corona pandemic.

Sentio carried out a survey for Frende Forsikring to see how the corona pandemic has affected agriculture.

A total of 1,000 people working in agriculture participated in the survey.

From midnight to Friday, the borders will, in practice, be closed to labor immigrants for at least two weeks, and the government has announced that the restrictions could be extended.

“One of the things we have worked on most during the pandemic is the sectors that depend on access to foreign labor. It is important to find good solutions for the industries that need foreign labor,” Astrid Solberg at the Norwegian Farmers’ Association noted.
