Health director Bjørn Guldvog says it may be relevant to tighten anti-coronavirus rules further when it comes to private gatherings.

After wedding parties in Oslo last week, 46 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

Around 300 people are in quarantine in connection with the two parties.

Afshan Rafiq of the Conservative Party (H) wants to stop weddings and other private parties in Oslo for the time being.

Even stricter rules?

Health director Bjørn Guldvog noted that stricter rules could be on the table.

“We agree with Ashfan Rafiq that it is important to target measures where the infection occurs.

“It may be relevant to tighten rules further when it comes to private gatherings,” Guldvog told newspaper VG.
