A lot of elderly people in Norway have now received a booster dose of the corona vaccine. The proportion amounts to 86%, according to Minister of Health Ingvild Kjerkol.

“This means that they are well protected against serious illness if they get infected,” she said at the government’s corona press conference on Tuesday.

She started the press conference with several good news – both about the administration of booster doses and an uptick in people getting their first vaccine dose.

“I call that good news,” Kjerkol said.

The Minister thanked everyone who takes the coronary vaccine, and she thanked the municipalities for their vaccination efforts.
