Assistant Director of Health Espen Nakstad believes that the vaccination against corona will start in earnest in April next year.

Nakstad told newspaper VG that it might make sense to listen to what the European Union (EU) is saying.

According to the EU, vaccines could be approved around the New Year, but it will still take some time from vaccine approval to vaccination.

The vaccination process is expected to start in earnest in April.

“April is probably the month when robust vaccination will be underway. Many could already be vaccinated then,” Nakstad told the newspaper.

Norway will receive the vaccine through a cooperation agreement with the EU.
