In line with the increased risk of infection and stricter infection control rules in many places, several police districts in Norway are sharpening their reactions to breaches of corona rules.

On Thursday, Norway announced a new set of measures aimed at curbing the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

After stern warnings from Prime Minister Erna Solberg, Minister of Justice Monica Mæland (H) also called on Norwegians to follow the new corona rules – especially when it comes to parties.

“Partying can contribute to many people becoming infected, people dying, and that we have to close down further.

“That is what we are trying to prevent,” Mæland said.
