The Norwegian Medical Association expects health personnel to be given priority if the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI) recommends a third dose of the corona vaccine to selected groups.

The FHI is in the process of assessing whether a third dose should be offered to certain groups or to the general population.

The Norwegian Medical Association asked the FHI and the Norwegian Directorate of Health to clarify whether health personnel will be on the priority list.

“Among other things, we have been clear that health personnel must be given priority for vaccines. Early in the outbreak, we demanded better information from the health authorities and better access to necessary infection control equipment,” association chief Anne-Karin Rime stated.
