The Norwegian Medicines Agency has received 52,000 reports of suspected side effects related to the corona vaccine. Only about half have been reviewed.

“Considering how many doses have been administered, there is a low number of serious reports,” director of the Norwegian Medicines Agency Steinar Madsen told the newspaper Aftenposten.

A total of 51,985 suspected side effects have been reported. Over 10 million doses have been administered in Norway. The data is interpreted to mean that the benefit is greater than the risk for taking the vaccine.

“The risk of taking the vaccine is quite minimal,” Madsen believes.

Many of the events reported are common symptoms and illnesses, which could also occur independently of the vaccine.
