Storms are taking over Western Norway. The Meteorological Institute asks people to stay indoors until they pass.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has warned of gusts of up to 42 meters per second, and an orange danger warning has been issued.

“If you can wait until Sunday morning, you may want to. Do not go out if you do not have to,” on-duty meteorologist Susana Reuder at the Meteorological Institute told the newspaper Haugesunds Avis.

It is recommended to secure loose objects and avoid traffic in exposed places. In addition, roads may be closed, and blowing snow in the mountains will reduce visibility and increase the likelihood of convoy driving or closed roads.
