Municipalities that have Ukrainian refugees living in private homes can receive grants from the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI).
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Justice and Emergency Preparedness issued an instruction to the UDI on the issue.
The scheme is voluntary for the municipalities.
People who have fled from Ukraine to Norway and who live in private homes can receive benefits for subsistence and other municipal services until they are settled by the Directorate for Integration and Diversity (IMDi), Minister of Justice and Emergency Management Emilie Enger Mehl (SP) noted.
