For the sixth year in a row, Norwegian has been named Europe’s best low-cost airline by the World Travel Awards.

The company described the World Travel Awards as “one of the tourism industry’s most recognized awards.”

The award is based on votes from representatives from the tourism industry.

In a press release, Norwegian’s CEO Jacob Schram said that the corona situation has affected the tourism industry worldwide and has put unparalleled challenges in front of the company.

“Throughout this long crisis, we have continued to focus on our customers by maintaining important routes domestically and in Europe.

“Winning the award ‘Europe’s best low-cost carrier’ for the sixth year in a row is further proof that our dedicated and committed employees around the world are truly ‘Red Nose Warriors,'” Schram said.
