A total of 14 men were reported for violating the infection control rules at the end of March after gathering in a room. The case has now been dropped due to the lack of evidence.

In March, the police found the men gathered at a Turkish leisure club, and they were reported for violating the infection control regulations.

But the police did not manage to find out who the organizer was.

“It is then doubtful whether this national regulation can provide a criminal basis for those who participate,” police attorney Eva Skau told newspaper Drammens Tidende.

The regulations state that “it is not permitted to arrange or participate in private gatherings with more than ten people present at the same time.” It was uncertain whether the men were gathered in such a private gathering, police say.
