Norwegian police: Espen Lee still under investigation in Cyprus

Espen Lee and two other Norwegian citizens are still under investigation in Cyprus, according to Norwegian police. Earlier,  the Cypriot police have said that the case was dismissed.

Lee and two other Norwegians were last Friday deported from Cyprus, eleven days after they were arrested by the Cypriot police. The police said a Norwegian child’s father had paid the Norwegians to abduct his daughter, who lives in Cyprus with her Greek Cypriot mother.

Norwegian police have been in contact with Cypriot authorities, who have reported that the case is still under investigation, despite the fact that the three Norwegians have been sent away from the country.
