Norwegian Post: Compared to 2019, there has been a 50% increase in packages in the run-up to Christmas of 2020

This year, the Norwegian Post had to handle 50% more parcels before Christmas than they did in 2019.

“In the run-up to Christmas, we have delivered over two million packages every single week,” press manager Kenneth Tjønndal Pettersen in the Norwegian Post noted in a press release.

“We also see that the amount of handwritten letters has increased more than we had expected. 

“We think it is because Norwegians want to send personal and physical Christmas greetings to friends and family this year,” he stated.

On the morning of Christmas Eve, there were still 250,000 uncollected parcels around the country’s post offices and post counters in shops.
