Norwegian Post employees to receive a corona bonus of 5,000 kroner
The corona pandemic has led to a demanding and special year for the Norwegian Post.
“The shutdown in March led to major changes for the employees. They have made a formidable effort,” press manager Kenneth Tjønndal Pettersen in the Norwegian Post told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
Until mid-November, the Norwegian Post had experienced a 42% increase in parcels from online shopping compared with last year.
Every year, several million packages are sent in the run-up to Christmas, and in recent years the proportion has increased.
This year, the Norwegian Post expects a historic amount of packages, and they have therefore mobilized an extra 600 people for Christmas.
