The Norwegian Post wants to expand the country’s largest post terminal in Lørenskog. With the expansion, it will double the capacity when it comes to small packages.

In the past year, the Norwegian Post registered record deliveries of packages to Norwegians, and it expects high volumes of parcels in the years to come.

“We believe the growth in packages will continue and especially packages from online shopping. We are now starting work on increasing capacity at the Østland terminal.

“When the work is completed, we will have twice as much capacity as we have today and be able to handle around 800,000 small packages a day,” CEO Tone Wille of the Norwegian Post noted in a press release.

The Østland terminal will be expanded by 6,000 m² from the current area of 76,500 m². The work will be completed during the next two years.

Posten should be soled to private owners. They act more like a Trade Union without respect for their customers.
