“I think Russia wants to ‘choke’ the supply without saying so,” college lecturer Ståle Ulriksen at the Naval Academy said about the leaks from gas pipelines.
Since Russia stopped supplying gas to Europe through Nord Stream 1 at the end of last month, Norway’s role as a supplier of gas has become very important.
“Therefore, there has never been a more significant reason to destroy it. The situation has never been as dangerous as now, and we have completely ignored this with our heads in the sand,” Ulriksen told E24.
He believes the leaks from Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 in the Baltic Sea are related to Russian sabotage.
“I think Russia wants to subdue the supply without saying so, a so-called non-attributable act,” Ulriksen added.
