The Norwegian shipping company Wilson has around 500 employees from Ukraine. It’s coordinating help and assistance for their family members.

“It is, of course, completely impossible to understand the situation of those who are here and who have family and friends back home in Ukraine. There is a lot of despair,” CFO Stig Vangen in the shipping company Wilson told Bergens Tidende / E24.

The company has set up a separate group that coordinates assistance to the employees’ family members. Assistance, housing, transport, and other forms of assistance are coordinated so that the family members have the essentials in place as they leave Ukraine.

“The internal mobilization has been enormous, and employees are available 24 hours a day to contribute. We are extremely proud of the team,” Vangen added.

The company also has around 1,100 employees from Russia. None of them have expressed a desire to go home, according to Vangen.
