Norwegian students who return home from study stays abroad do not have to pay the fee for staying in quarantine hotels.

The Norwegian government announced the information in a press release on Wednesday. The change will take effect on May 27.

“The infection situation changes quickly, and we must adapt the regulations for who should be in quarantine hotels accordingly.

“Now, the infection situation in the country people travel from determines whether they must be quarantined or not, and how long they must be there,” Minister of Justice and Emergency Management Monica Mæland (H) said.
