Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) has received 86 complaints in relation to the European Football Championship, and most of them are about the broadcasted footage of the cardiac arrest of the Danish football player Christian Eriksen.
Council Secretary Eirik Skarrud at the Norwegian Broadcasting Council did not have the time to provide the media with an exact number of complaints related to the footage of Eriksen, Medier24 writes.
The Broadcasting Council will assess the case in the autumn.
On Saturday night, TV viewers witnessed 29-year-old Eriksen collapsing on the field in the match against Finland.
NRK broadcasted the footage, with several close-ups of Eriksen receiving emergency aid from health personnel. They also showed footage of his family in shock. Many people reacted strongly to the TV footage.
Eriksen’s condition is currently stable.
